Position Summary
The Charter Sales Specialist is responsible for all aspects of the Mountain Aviation charter sales. Client centered customer service and an understanding of CFR 14 parts 91 and 135 are essential to success as a sales team member. This position encompasses aspects of Inside Sales, Owner Services, Aviation Dispatch, and Charter Scheduling disciplines and offers Mountain Aviation Clients a team-centered approach to meeting their aviation needs. Although the position is interdisciplinary by nature the successful Charter Sales Specialist will be a relentless sales person first and foremost. This position is in direct contact with our charter and private aviation industry colleagues as well as our highly successful and high net-worth Clients and their representatives. Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment are essential personal qualities for the successful Charter Sales Specialist. Immediate response to Client requests as well as accuracy and attention to detail are of the utmost importance.
Essential Functions
Show professionalism & leadership while serving as an inside sales representative at Mountain Aviation
Receive and provide timely and accurate quotes for charter requests by retail clients and/or other operators or brokers.
Generate quotes for Mountain Aviation’s chartered aircraft and when needed on brokered aircraft
Maintain a culture of total customer service focused on anticipating our VIP Clients’ needs and exceeding their expectations.
Field sales inquiries in person and via electronic submissions.
Proactively seek charter opportunities for our diverse fleet of aircraft.
Forecast and communicate any operational issues that may affect the successful completion of a flight to our Clients during the initial quoting phase.
Understand aircraft operating economics including business structure of leased and managed aircraft and charter margins.
Assist VP of Business Development with setting rates and adjusting following a Revenue Management philosophy.
Track metrics as needed, including lead source, not booked reason, and others, and report as directed by VP of Business Development.
Participate and contribute in daily operations meeting.
Utilize Flight Operations System (FOS) to its maximum ability with incorporating scheduling updates to profiles, airport/aircraft information, maintenance warnings and aircraft times and invoicing.
Meet or exceed monthly & annual sales and operations goals.
Maintain and continually improve Clients and Vendor contact information in FOS including updating major clients on fleet additions and deletions as well as keeping aircraft data current.
Learn to utilize computer systems and programs to perform job duties to include but not limited to: FOS, Flight Explorer, Stellar, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Recognize role and continual need to be Mountain Aviation company representative, brand ambassador, and maintain excellent personal reputation and integrity at all times.
At all times work towards solutions that meet our Clients’ needs to the greatest extent possible while at the same time driving profitable charter sales interest of Mountain Aviation.

Required Qualifications:
Working towards or completion of College Degree (Aviation or Business degree preferred).
Previous sales or customer service experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Aviation sales experience.
FAA Dispatch Certificate or Pilot Certificate.
Experience working with FOS software.
Work Conditions:
Work is performed in an office setting with prolonged periods of sedentary activity
Required evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
Physical Requirements
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25-50 pounds
